The Heart of the Retreat
The Nieuwe Sion Estate ('new hope'), its people and its surroundings, represent a place where our Adopted Concept values are lived and breathed–kindness, connection and growth. After visiting various locations in the Western Cape and beyond, we discovered the Nieuwe Sion Estate through family friends on a mission to connect the community and curate a place of rest in nature.
The Adopted Concept aims to support initiatives that preserve the environment, promote equal opportunity and well-being, empower the community to live healthy and fulfilled lives, and advance dreams in every capacity. As a family-owned and operated business, Nieuwe Sion is breathing new life into its citrus farm community. Every detail is crafted with a local mindset, supporting the South African economy—from the furniture and fittings to the freshly baked sourdough.
The heart of our retreat is a tapestry of thoughtfully adopted concepts, from creativity workshops in their many forms and farm-to-table dining, to a locally crafted essential oil journey and the simple joy of picking fresh orchard. Each element has been carefully woven together, creating a collection of individual dreams in motion to inspire you.
Our hope is that this journey will set the stage for you to birth, reignite, and nurture your own dreams.

This day focuses on uncovering the core values that anchor and inspire our dreams. Dreams are the longings that resonate most authentically with our true selves. Through reflection and exploration, we’ll connect with the values that give our dreams purpose and direction.
On the second day, we explore the source of our dreams—our purpose, the foundation that gives them depth and direction, turning fleeting wishes into powerful motivators. We’ll uncover the intersection of what stirs you, what you're uniquely good at, and what ignites your passion.
On the third day, we centre on play—the joy and energy that breathe life into our dreams. By reconnecting with what sparks joy and brings you life, we’ll explore how fun and creativity can fuel your dreams.
This day explores the different layers of relationships—self, family, friends, partners, colleagues, and community—and how they shape our dreams. We’ll examine how supporting others in their dreams creates a ripple effect, strengthening connections and enriching our own dreams in the process.
This day is dedicated to putting our dreams into action—setting clear steps, establishing accountability, and confidently committing to the journey ahead. Through connection and commitment, we’ll begin the process of bringing your dreams to centre stage in your life.

Our Cost Breakdown
We offer four package options, with accommodations available in the main house or the charming cottages on the property. Pricing depends on your choice of shared or private room accommodations. Maximum 12 guests.
